Recreating the wheel

Several months ago, I was all gung-ho about writing my own blog software, being unhappy with some of the shortcomings of Wordpress. That's ... not really going to happen. Having to write blog-like software for your 9-to-5, while leaving you with lots of good ideas, kills your desire to do it all again in your free time. In addition, a blog is not something I'm apt to recreate the wheel for. It was interesting to see how few were implemented in C# or Java. Ehhh, I think I'm going to channel this into some Groovy projects.
